Source and Purity of ReMag

ReMag is made from liquid magnesium chloride through a proprietary process that is registered to Dr. Carolyn Dean. This 18-step process transforms a traditional magnesium chloride, already recognized for its absorption, into stabilized ions of magnesium, ionized and picometer in size. This source compares favorably to high-quality versions of magnesium citrate that could be considered 98% pure, or magnesium chloride from salt lakes that are 96% pure. The key is that ReMag® is 99.98-“99.99% pure, no matter the source.

Benefits of Liquid Magnesium vs Other Forms

Magnesium is a very popular supplement, but most forms are not well absorbed, causing the laxative effect, which flushes out whatever magnesium you just took. Sure, it might be easier to take pills or capsules, and it can be fun to take those flavorful gummies, but what's the point if the magnesium is not absorbed.

ReMag® liquid magnesium is better absorbed in your gut than some of the less soluble forms*. Some ingredients in magnesium supplements are hygroscopic, meaning they attract water. If pills contain these ingredients, the supplement can become wet simply from the moisture in the air and thats why some magnesium pills have several additives to try and keep the content dry. To avoid unnecessary ingredients and to achieve the best absorption, choose a liquid magnesium supplement.

Using a liquid supplement gives you more control over the dosage amount. Supplements in pill form come in pre-measured doses, which restricts how flexible you can be with intake. But you can easily alter the amount if you are taking a liquid form of the supplement. If you need less or more one day, you will be able to make quick adjustments.

Dosage Considerations

After you buy ReMag®, follow these instructions for the best results.

Dosage: Adult Dose: Do not take undiluted. ReMag® magnesium is a powerful mineral concentrate concentration and should not be placed directly into your mouth. Place a 1/2 tsp. [2.5 ml] in 4 ounces of water and consume in one sitting or put into 1 liter of water and sip throughout the day. For optimum results take at least two or more servings a day as needed or as directed by your healthcare provider. May be taken with or without food.

Note: If you seem to be highly magnesium-deficient or have been eating an unhealthy diet, begin slowly to allow your body to adjust. Some people may want to take even less than 1/4 tsp in a liter of water to begin their treatment. You can put a few ounces of ReMag® magnesium in a dropper bottle and start with 2 to 4 drops in a liter of water.

Magnesium Deficiency Testing - Know Your Levels

There are several ways to have your magnesium levels tested. You can request a test from your family doctor and in some states, you can even do it yourself by ordering a blood test online and going to your local lab.

Many people have benefited from having the results of more comprehensive testing to determine their magnesium, Vitamin D, EFA's and mineralization of other glands like your thyroid. Through our partnership with GrassrootsHealth.org, you can participate in your own health tracking and contribute to a public research model to determine how your nutrient status improves with supplementation.

What Are The Side Effects of Too Much Magnesium?

Like with any dietary supplement, one of the most important questions about magnesium is what happens when too much is taken. While the element is generally well-tolerated by most healthy adults, there are some possible magnesium supplement side effects that are often related to its laxative effects. Fortunately, ReMag® Magnesium Solution was formulated and has been proven to bypass the laxative effect.

According to Dr. Carolyn Dean - there are several contraindications to magnesium supplementation:

  • Kidney failure. With kidney failure, there is an inability to clear magnesium from the kidneys
  • Myasthenia gravis. The intravenous administration could accentuate muscle relaxation and collapse the respiratory muscles
  • Excessively slow heart rate. Slow heart rates can be made even slower, as magnesium relaxes the heart. Slow heart rates often require an artificial pacemaker
  • Bowel obstruction. The main route of elimination of oral magnesium is through the bowel.

While most of these conditions are unlikely, it's always wise to speak with a healthcare practitioner before taking any supplements, especially if you are pregnant, nursing or taking other medications.
