Chaste tree tincture has been traditionally used to –
- Stabilize menstrual cycle irregularities
- Help relieve PMS symptoms, such as irritability, anxiety and breast tenderness
- Support skin health, helping reduce acne flare-ups
- Aid menopausal symptoms especially cycle irregularities, hot flushes and PMS
- Help lower high prolactin levels
Chaste tree tincture is best taken on rising in a little water.
Chaste Tree (Vitex agnus-castus) Tincture is also know as Vitex Tincture, Monk’s Berry Tincture, Nirgundi Tincture, Sambhalu Tincture, Monk’s Pepper Tincture.
This tincture is made by using 1 part herb to 2 parts liquid with 25-45% alcohol. This makes a very high concentration tincture and provides 500mg of herb per 1ml. The general recommendation of most herbal tinctures is 1-5ml up to three times daily in water or juice..
WARNING
Do not taking Chaste Tree if you are:
*under the age of 18 years old
*taking any hormone medications such as progesterone preparations, oral contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy or IVF drugs
*if you have high LH due to PCOS
CAUTION
If Chaste Tree tincture does not improve your symptoms in the first 8-12 weeks or makes symptoms worse; cease using this herb. If however, you feel great taking it, you can safely take it for 6 months.
